INGREDIENTS
Basmati rice - 1 cup
Curd - 1/2 cup
Crushed cashew nuts - 1 tbso
Clarified butter - for frying
For sugar syrup
Sugar - 1 cup
Water - 1/2 cup
Green cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
METHOD
Wash and soak rice for 4 - 5 hours,strain the water and grind to make a paste
Add curd into the rice paste and leave over night to ferment.
Heat sugar and water on medium heat and make one string consistency.
Add cardamom powder and lemon juice into the sugar syrup and turn off the flame.
Heat enough clarified butter in a pan on medium flame.
Add one spoon batter and cook until golden brown
Strain and soak the dehrori into sugar syrup
Garnish with crushed cashew nuts and serve hot
