TELENGANA CHICKEN


Prep Time : 15 mins
Cooking Time : 30 mins
Serve : 4

INGREDIENTS
Chicken pieces - 1 kg
Chopped onion - 3
Ginger paste -1 tsp
Garlic paste - 1 tsp
Whole red chilly - 6 - 7
Whole black pepper - 4 - 5
Cloves - 3 - 4
Green cardamom - 2
Black cardamom - 1
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Cinnamon - 1 inch stick
Coriander seeds - 2tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Poppy seeds - 1 tsp
Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
Salt - to taste
Oil - 1/2 cup

METHOD
Dry roast the whole garam masala,poppy seeds and grated coconut.
Once cooled blend to make a powder
Heat oil in a pan,add chopped onion and saute for 4 - 5 mins,add ginger garlic paste and saute for 2 - 3 mins.
Now add chicken pieces and cover the lid and cook for five mins in a high flame.
Add whole garam masala powder,turmeric powder and mix well.
Cover the lid and cook in a medium flame for ten mins or oil leaves  the pan and now add on e cup of water and cook for and cook for five mins.
Turn off the flame.
