FALAHARI THALI

 


Prep Time : 30 mins
Cooking Time : 60 mins
Serve : 2

Sbudana  strawberry kheer,fried potato chips,fried peanuts,roasted makhana  and sabudana khichdi.

Sabudana strawberry kheer
INGREDIENTS
Milk - 5 cup
Sabudana/sago - 1/4cup
Sugar   -  2 tbsp
Cardamom powder -   a pinch
Raisins  -  1 tbsp
Crushed almonds -  1 tbsp
Strawberry - 8 - 10

METHOD
Soak sago for 3 - 4 hours.
Boil milk in a heavy bottom vessel
Once boiled, keep it in a low flame.
Drain extra water from the sago.add in the milk.
Stir occassionaly for thickening the milk.
Cook well till it gets thick and sago mix in the milk.
Add sugar and mix well.
Remove the vessel from the flame.
Add cardamom powder and stir allow to cool completely.
Then keep in the fridge for two hours.
HSeat  a pan.add chopped strawberry. and sugar bring to a boil,once boiled keep it in a low flame and stir and mash the fruit to combine.
Cook for about 10 - 15 mins until the juice is reduced
Turn off the flame
 Wash and chop the strawberry and blend into the blender and make a paste
. Once cooled  blend into blender and make a paste. now add strawberries crush  into the sabudana kheer and mix well.
Yummy sabudana  strawberry kheer is ready to serve.

Roasted makhana
INGREDIENTS
Lotus seeds / makhana - 250 gms
Ghee - 1/2 cup
METHOD
Heat ghee in a wok.
Add lotus seeds / makhana and stir fry on low flame.
They turn light brown and crispy
Turn off the flame

Potato chips
INGREDIENTS
Medium size potatoes - 2
Oil for frying - 1 cup
METHOD
Wash and peel the potatoes.
Cut it in a thin slice with the help of chips cutter
.Wash in a fresh water
. Fry in enough heat oil and drain in paper napkin.
Fried peanuts
INGREDIENTS
Peanuts - 100 gms
Clarified butter - 1 cup
METHOD
. Fry in enough heat oil and drain in paper napkin.
Sabudana khichdi
INGREDIENTS
Sabudana - 1 cup
Boiled potatoes - 2
Peanuts - 2 tbsp
Green chilly - 2
Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
Sendha salt - to taste
Oil - 2 tbsp
Chopped coriander leaves - 1 tbsp

METHOD
Soak sabudan for two to three hours and drain it
Heat oil in a pan.
Add peanuts and fry for two to three mins in low flame.
Now add cumin seeds, green chilly and boiled potatoes and saute for 2 - 3 mins
Add sabudana and senda salt and mix well
Add coriander leaves and mix well.
Serve hot.
