SHAHI CHICKEN






Prep Time   : 30 mins
Cooking Time  : 30 mins
Serves  :2

INGREDIENTS
Chicken             -  500 gms
Onion paste       -   4 onion
Green cardamom     -     4
Bay leaf                 -  1 - 2
Ginger garlic paste   - 2 tbsp
Khus khus paste / poppy seeds paste   -  2 tbsp
Red chilly powder      -   1 tbsp
Turmeric powder        -  1/2 tsp
Coriander powder       -  1 tsp
Garam masala powder   - 1 tsp
Cream                          -  2 tb sp
Clarified butter    -  1/2 cup
Whole black pepper  -  2 - 3
Cloves                      -  2 - 3
Cinnamon    -  1 inch stick
Mace              -    1 piece
Black cardamom  -  1
Salt        -    to taste

METHOD
Heat one tbsp clarified butter in a pan
Add chicken pieces and saute for 10 mins.and strain it,
Again heat clarified butter in a pan.
Add bay leaf,green cardamom,black cardamom,mace,cloves,whole black pepper and cinnamon to crackle.
Add onion paste and fry till brown.
Add ginger garlic paste,turmeric powder,red chilly powder,coriander powder,garam masala powder and khus khus paste and saute for 4 - 5 mins.
Add chicken pieces and mix well.
Add one cup of water and cook cover  till 15 - 20 mins
Add cream and mix well..
Serve hot with rice
