INGREDIENTS
Amra/hog plum - 250 gms
Mustard oil - 1/2 cup
Rai / black mustard seeds - 2 tsp
Fenugreek seeds /methi dana - 1/2 tsp
Fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp
Onion seeds - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
Asafoetida/hing - 1/4 tsp
Coriander seeds - 1/2 tsp
Black salt - 1 tsp
Salt - to taste
METHOD
Wash the amra/hog plum and cut into two pieces.
Dry roast the black mustard seeds,coriander seeds,fennel seeds and asafoetida.
Once cooled, blend to make a powder.
Heat mustard oil in a pan on a medium flame.
Add hog plum/amra pieces and stir fry for 4- 5 mins.
Now add roasted spices and turmeric powder,red chilly powder,onion seeds,black salt and salt and mix well.
Once cooled keep in the air tight container.
