KABULI CHANA PULAO / CHICKPEA PULAO

Cooking Time : 25 mins
Serve  : 2

INGREDIENTS
Basmati rice     -      1 cup
Boiled kabuli chana /chick pea  -  1/2 cup
Chopped onion   -     1 small size
Ginger garlic paste  -  1 tsp
Whole black pepper   -  2- 3
Cloves  -  2 - 3
Cinnamon    -    1 inch stick
Green cardamom    -  2
Black cardamom    -  1
Cumin seeds  -  1/4 tsp
Lemon juice   -  1 tbsp
Clarified butter  - 2 tbsp
Coriander powder  -  1 tsp
Turmeric powder  -   1/4  tsp
Salt   -  to taste

METHOD
Heat clarified butter in a pan.
Add whole gartam masala to crackle.
Add onion and saute for 2 - 3 mins.
Add ginger garlic paste and saute for 1 - 2 mins.
Add boiled kabuli chana / chickpea ,coriander powder,turmeric powder and mix well.
Soak rice  for 15 mins. and strain it.
Add rice and mix well.
Add salt ,lemon juice and two and half cup of water.
Once boiled,keep it in a low flame.
Cover it and cook for 10 mins.
Serve with raita.
