SHAHI SIWAIN


Prep Time : 15 mins
Cooking Time : 30 mins
Serve : 4

INGREDIENTS
Siwain - 200 gms
Sugar  -  1 cup
Milk - 3 cup
Water - 1 cup
Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
Makhana/lotus seeds  - 1 cup
Raisins  - 2 tbsp
Almonds - 2 tbsp
Cashew nuts - 2 tbsp
Clarified butter - 2 tbsp

METHOD
Dry roast the siwain and keep aside.
Heat clarified butter in a pan and deep fry the makhana,almonds,raisins and cashew nuts one by one and keep aside.
Take a bowl add 1/2 cup of sugar and one cup of water to make a syrup.
Add roasted siwain in the sugar syrup and cook until they soft.
In a pan add sugar and milk and cook in a slow flame until it become 1/4 cup
Add siwain and cardamom powder and mix well
Garnish with makhana,almonds,cashew nuts and raisins.
