MOONG DAL APPE

 


Prep Time : 15 mins
Cooking Time : 5 mins
Serve :4

INGREDIENTS
Moong dal - 1 cup
Chopped carrot - 1/2 cup
Chopped onion - 1/2 cup
Green chilly and ginger paste - 1 tsp
Salt - to taste
Asafoetida - a pinch
Eno - 1 tbsp
Oil - 1 tsp
Black mustard seeds  - 1 tsp
Curry leaves  - 8 - 10

METHOD
Wash and soak moong dal for 4 - 5 hours, add green chilly and ginger and grind to make a paste.
Take a bowl add moong dal paste, carrot,onion,salt,asafoetida, and eno and mix well.
Keep aside for fifteen mins,take appe  patra grease with oil,add few black mustard seeds and curry leaves and one spoon batter and cover it and cook for 3 - 4 mins.
Flip it and cook for five mins,turn off the flame serve hot.

SPINACH AND SESAME SEEDS PARATHA

 


Prep Time : 15 mins
Cooking Time : 15 mins
Serve : 2

INGREDIENTS
Spinach     - 250 gms
Roasted sesame seeds    -    2 tbsp
Wheat flour    - 1 cup
Grated ginger    -  1/2 tsp
Chopped green chilli       -   2
Curd        -   2 tsp
 Carom seeds    -  a pinch
Onion seeds    -  a pinch
Curd    - 2 tbsp
Salt      -   to taste
Clarifiedbutter   -    2 tbsp


       
METHOD
Wash and chop spinach. and blanch it
In a kneading bowl,mix wheat flour,spinach,curd,carom seeds,onion seeds,sesame seeds,grated ginger and salt.
Make a soft dough with the help of little water.
Keep aside for 15 mins.
On a heated pan,make parathas applying clarified butter both the sides
Once both the sides are cooked and golden brown in color.
Serve hot with  subji

BELL PEPPER MAYONNISE SANDWICH

Serve : 2


INGREDIENTS
Bread  -  4 slices
Finely chopped red bell pepper  - 1 bowl
Finely chopped yellow bell pepper  - 1 bowl
Mayonnaise  - 3 tbsp
Black pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
Oregano - 1 tsp
Salt  - to taste
Butter - 50 gms
Grated cheese - 50 gms

INGREDIENTS
Take a bowl add mayonnise , grated cheese,red and yellow bell pepper,salt,oregano and black pepper powder and mix it well.
Take one slice and spread mayonnaise bell pepper mixture  and cover with other slice.
Place on the hot pan and grease butter from from both the sides.
 Cut into two pieces.
Now your bell pepper mayonnaise sandwich is ready to serve.

TRICOLOR SONDESH

 

Prep Time : 15 mins
Cooking Time : 30 mins
Serve : 6

INGREDIENTS
Milkmaid - 200 gms
Grated paneer  -  1 cup
Fresh green gram  - 100 gms
Grated carrot  -  100 gms
Clarified butter  -  2 tbsp

METHOD
For orange color make a paste of carrot.
Heat clarified butter add carrot paste,paneer and milkmaid and stir continuously until thick turn off the flame.
For green color make a paste of fresh green gram.
Heat clarified butter add ,green gram paste,paneer and milkmaid and stir continuously until thick switch off the flame.
Heat clarified butter and add milkmaid and paneer and stir until thick.
When it starts to leave sides of the pan turn off the flame,when it cools mash them.
Now take three dough and make tricolor sondesh










METHI LEAVES AND RICE FLOUR PARATHA

 

Prep Time : 25 mins
Cooking Time : 25 mins
Serve :2

INGREDIENTS
  
  Rice flour       - 1cup
Warm water  - 2 cup
                                                               Methi leaves    - 1 cup
Turmeric powder  -  1/2 tsp
Salt                      - to taste
Clarified butter -   2 tbsp
Chopped green chillies  - 2

METHOD

Heat two cup of water in a pan and bring to boil
Once boiled add the rice flour,methi leaves and salt and stir continuously until water absorb the rice flour
To make a soft dough
. Divide the dough into equal size balls. 
 Flatten the balls into thick round paratha
.Grease a pan with little clarified butter and heat on a medium flame.
Applying clarified butter on both the sides and cook on a medium flame
Serve hot with  potato subji. .
 Serve garma garam paratha










CHICKEN TIKKA

 


Prep Time : 15 mins
Cooking Time : 50 mins
Serve : 4

INGREDIENTS
Boneless chicken pieces - 1 kg
Onion paste - 2 onion
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Cloves - 5 - 6
Green cardamom - 3 - 4
Black cardamom - 2
Green cardamom - 4
Whole black pepper - 5 - 6
Red chilly powder - 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Tandoori orange color - 1/2 tsp
Thick curd - 1/2 cup
Salt - to taste
Oil - 4 tbsp

METHOD
Wash and clean chicken pieces and marinate with salt and tandoori orange color and keep aside for 30 mins
Take a blender add onion paste,ginger garlic paste,green and black cardamom,cloves,whole black pepper,turmeric powder and red chilly powder and blend it and  marinate chicken with all these spices and now marinate with thick curd and keep aside for 3 - 4 hours.
Heat oil in a pan,add chicken pieces and cook in a slow flame for 10 mins
 When cook on one side  turn the side  and cook for 10 mins.
Serve hot with chapati or naan.
