RAVA KESARI



Prep Time  : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 15 mins
Serve  : 2

INGREDIENTS
Rava / suji    -      1 cup
Sugar     -   3/4 cup
Water   -  2 and half cup
Cardamom powder   -   1/4 tsp
Cashew nuts    -  1 tbsp
Raisins       -   1 tbsp
Almonds       -   1 tbsp
Kesar / saffron      -  few strand
Clarified butter / ghee      -   3 tbsp

METHOD
Heat clarified butter / ghee in a pan.
Add cashew nuts and raisins  fry and strain it.
In the same ghee / clarified butter add the rava and roast on medium flame for 10 - 15 mins until brown in color and give out fragrance.
Heat sugar and water in a pan,
Keep it medium flame for 10 mins.
Add saffron / kesar in it.
When it gets sticky it means syrup is ready.
Add roasted rava,cardamom powder and fried cashew nuts and raisins and m ix well.
The rava kesari is ready to eat.
