INGREDIENTS
All purpose flour / maida - 2 cup
Milk - 1 cup
Oil - 1 tbsp
Salt - to taste
Carom seeds / ajwain - a pinch
Baking powder - 1/4 tsp
Oil - for frying
For stuffing
Fresh green gram - 200 gms
Chopped green chilly - 1/4 tsp
Red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Garam masala - a pinch
Cumin seeds - a pinch
Salt - to taste
Oil - 1 tsp
Asafoetida - a pinch
METHOD
Heat oil in a pan.
Add asafoetida and cumin seeds to crackle.
Add ginger garlic paste and saute for one mins.
Add fresh green gram,green chilly.red chilly powder.turmeric powder,garam masala powder and saute for f4 - 5 mins.
Switch off the gas.
Once cooled,grind to make a paste,add salt and mix well.
Now stuffing is ready.
Take a bowl add all purpose flour,salt ,baking powder,caram seeds and oil and knead to make a soft dough.
Add little amount of milk at a time and knead into a soft dough.
Keep aside for 30 mins. and knead it again.
Divide the dough into equal size balls.
Stuff the filling in the dough and roll out ball.
In a pan heat the oil and add the kachori.
Lower the heat and fry till light brown.
Serve hot with potato bhaji.
