INGREDIENTS
Suji - 1 cup
Water - 2.5 cup
Chopped green chilly - 1
Grated ginger - 1/2 tsp
Salt - to taste
Oil - 2 tsp
For stuffing
Finely chopped carrot - 2 tbsp
Finely chopped capsicum - 2 tbsp
Boiled n mashed potato - 1 big size
Salt - to taste
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Red chilly powder - 1/4 tsp
Oil - 1 tbsp
For tempering
Chana dal - 1 tbsp
Urad dal - 1 tbsp
Black mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Red chilly powder - 1/4 tsp
Whole red chilly - 1
Curry leaves - 8 - 10
Oil - 2 tbsp
Lemon juice - 2 tbsp
METHOD
Dry roast the suji.
Heat oil in a pan add finely chopped green chilly and ginger saute for one mins
Add water and bring to boil,once boiled add the roasted suji and salt and stir continuously until water absorb the suji.
Again heat oil in a pan,add carrot and capsicum and saute for one mins.
Add turmeric powder,red chilly powder and mix well.
Now add boiled n mashed potato and salt and mix well
Now stuffing is ready.
Take a suji dough and make a ball.
Fill one tbsp potato stuffing into the ball and steam for ten mins
Heat oil in a pan..
Add chana dal, urad dal,whole red chilly and curry leaves and saute for one to two mins.
Add turmeric powder,red chilly powder and mix well.
Now add stuffed suji balls and mix well.
Squeeze the lemon juice and mix well.
Serve hot with green chutney and tomato ketchup
Add cumin seeds and black mustard seeds to crackle
