RAVA MURUKKU





Prep Time     :20 mins
Cooking Time : 25 mins
Serves  : 4
INGREDIENTS
Fine rava /semolina      -     1/4 cup
Rice flour                  -        1/2 cup
Hot water                    -       1 cup
Sesame seeds               -      1/4 tsp
Poppy seeds                -         1/4 tsp
Butter                         -       1 tbsp
Cumin seeds              -          a pinch
Salt                          -              to taste
Oil                            -            for frying

METHOD
Heat water in a pan.
When water comes to boil add the rava /semolina in a low flame.
Mix well.
Add rice flour,butter,sesame seeds,poppy seeds,salt,cumin seeds and add little hot water and mix well.
Make smooth dough.
Use the murukku make machine and fixed the plate.
Fill the machine with prepared dough.
Squeeze into square shape and repeat the process to finish the dough.
Deep fry the murukku for 2 - 3 mins and then turn over for another side.
Drain in paper napkin.
Served with hot tea.
