INGREDIENTS
Bengal gram / chana dal - 100 gms
Bitter gourd / karela - 2
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Chopped tomato - 2
Chopped green chilly - 1
Salt - to taste
Sugar - 1/2 tsp
Oil - 4 tbsp
METHOD
Soak chana dal / bengal gram for half an hour.
Add turmeric powder and 1 cup of water and pressure cook for 10 mins.
Chop bitter gourd / karela in a round shape and soak in the salted water for half an hour.
Strain and deep fry the bitter gourd / karela.
Heat oil in a pan.
Add tomato,salt ,green chilly and turmeric powder and cook till tender.
Add boiled chana dal / bengal gram and some water and sugar and mix well.
Cook for the mins in a medium flame.
