INGREDIENTS
Raw Turmeric - 250 grams
Almond - 1 cup (125 grams)
Ghee - Ghee - 250 grams
Cumin seeds - 50 GM's
Onion seeds - 50 GM's
Ginger - 50 gms
Jaggery -
Jaggery - 1 cup (300 grams)
Green Cardamom - 8-10, coarsely crushed
Raisins - 1 cup
Cashew nuts - 1 cup
Almond Flakes
METHOD
Peel and cut 250 grams of raw turmeric.
Take a mixer jar and add raw turmeric pieces and two tbsp water and grind it.
Also make a paste of 1 cup of almonds .
Make a paste of cumin seeds,ginger and onion seeds.
Now put ghee in a pan and melt it.
On melting, reduce the flame to low and add ground turmeric and saute on low-medium flame while stirring continuously.
After the turmeric has absorbed the ghee, when the turmeric leaves the ghee, then add finely ground almonds to it. Saute it for 2 minutes now add cumin seeds, ginger paste and saute until halwa leaves the pan take off the pan and keep it.
Now add jaggery and cook on low flame while stirring continuously till the jaggery melts.
Ghee start separately from the halwa it means halwa is ready.
Add almonds flakes,cashew nuts and raisins and mix well.
Garnish with dry nuts.Eat with hot milk.
