INGREDIENTS
Parwal - 10
Boiled potato - 4
Fenugreek seeds - 1/4 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
Fennel seeds - 1 /4 tsp
Cloves - 3
Cinnamon - 1 inch stick
Grated ginger - 1/2 tsp
Whole red chilly - 1
Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
Posto - 2 tbsp
Red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Sugar - 1 tsp
Green chilly - 2
Salt - to taste
Mustard oil - 2 tbsp
METHOD
Wash and chop parwal.
Peel the boiled potato and chop it.
Heat oil in a pan,add fenugreek seeds,cloves,cinnamon,whole red chilly,ginger,coconut and posto.
Cook for one to two mins
Turn off the flame.
Once cooled to make a paste.
Heat oil in a pan add parwal and turmeric powder and cook till soft and strain it.
Add green chilly and ground paste and all spices and cook for two to three mins.
Add parwal and boiled potatoes and mix well.
Add half cup of water for gravy.
Cover the lid and cook for ten mins in low flame.
Add salt and mix well.
Serve hot with chapatis.
