INGREDIENTS
Tuar lentil / arhar dal - 1 cup
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida - a pinch
Finely chopped onion - 1 medium size
Finely chopped tomato - 2 medium size
Whole red chilly - 2
Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
Red chilly powder - 1/4 tsp
Sugar - 1/4 tsp
Salt - to taste
Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
Green chilly - 1
Oil - 1 tbsp
Chopped coriander leaves - 1 tsp
METHOD
Pressure cook the tuar lentil / arahar dal add turmeric powder,salt and sugar.
After 3 - 4 whistle switch off the gas.
Heat oil in a pan.
Add cumin seeds and asafoetida to crackle.
Add onion and saute for 3 - 4 mins.
Add ginger garlic paste and mix well.
Add chopped tomato,green chilly and cook well.
Add vred chilly powder,coriander leaves and mix well.
Add boiled tuar lentil /arhar dal and cook for 10 mins. in a low flame.
Garnish with green chilly and serve hot with chapaties.
