INGREDIENTS
Peas / matar - 2 cup
Chopped potato - 2
Chopped onion - 1
Chopped ginger garlic - 1 tsp
Tomato puree - 1/2 cup
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
Cardamom - 2 - 3
Cloves - 2
Cinnamon - 1 inch stick
Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
Salt - to taste
Asafoetida / hing - a pinch
Oil - 4 tbsp
Chopped coriander leaves - 1 tsp
METHOD
In a blender add one cup peas / matar and make a paste.
Other cup of mator ground coarsely.
In a blender add ginger garlic,cloves,cardamom and cinnamon. to make a paste.
Heat oil in a pan.
Add potato and fry till brown and strain it.
Again heat oil and add peas and fry and strain it.
Heat oil in a pan.
Add asafoetida,cumin seeds to crackle.
Add onion and saute for 2 - 3 mins.
Add ginger garlic paste,tomato puree and dry ingredients and salt.
Saute for 4 - 5 mins in a low flame.
Add peas and potato and one cup of water and cook 15 mins in a low flame.
