INGREDIENTS
Basmati rice - 3/4 cup
Masoor dal - 1/4 cup
Yellow moong dal - 1/4 cup
Chana dal - 1/4 cup
Finely chopped onion - 1
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
Cloves - 2- 3
Green cardamom - 1
Black cardamom - 1
Cinnamon - 1 inch stick
Whole black pepper - 2 - 3
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
Chopped carrot - 2 tbsp
Chopped beans - 2 tbsp
Matar/green peas - 2 tbsp
Chopped potato - 1
Chopped tomato - 1
Water - 3 cup
Clarified butter - 2 tbsp
Finely chopped coriander leaves - 1 tbsp
METHOD
Heat clarified butter in a pan.
Add whole garam masala to crackle.
Now add onion and saute until transparent.
Add ginger garlic paste and mix well.
Add all veggies and mix well.
Add turmeric powder,red chilly powder,coriander powder and garam masala powder and mix well
Add chopped tomato and mix well.
Add half cup of water and cook for 6 - 7 mins in low flame
Wash all dals and rice and strain it.
Add rice and dal in the pan ad saute for three to four mins and transfer the masala mix veg khichdi toin the pressure cooker with three cup of water.
Cook for ten mins
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
