INGREDIENTS
Chopped jackfruit / kathal - 500 gms
Chopped onion - 2
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Tomato puree - 2 tbsp
Curd - 2 tbsp
Fresh cream - 2 tbsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Chopped green chily - 1/4 tsp
Cloves - 2 - 3
Cinnamon - 1 inch stick
Whole black pepper - 2 - 3
Mace - 1 piece
Black cardamom - 1
Green cardamom - 2
Salt - to taste
Oil - 4 tbsp
METHOD
Heat oil in a pan.
Deep fry the kathal / jackfruit pieces and strain it.
Marinate kathal / jackfruit pieces with curd and keep it for half an hour.
Heat oil in a pan.
Add whole garam masala and saute for one mins.
Add sliced onion and fry till dark brown.
Add ginger garlic paste,tomato puree,coriander powder,red chilly powder,turmeric powder and green chilly and mix well.
Saute for 10 - 15mins.
Add marinated kathal / jackfruit and mix well.'Add two cup of water and cook for five mins.
Add fresh cream and mix well.
Serve with rice or chapatis.
