INGREDIENTS
Wheat flour - 100 gms
Suji - 50 gms
Carom seeds / ajawain - a pinch
Baking powder - a pinch
Turmeric powdeer - 1/4 tsp
Salt - to taste
Oil - 1 tbsp
Oil for frying - 1 cup
Clarified butter / ghee - 1 cup
For stuffing
Roasted gram flour / sattu - 100 gms
Finely chopped onion - 1
Finely chopped green chilly - 2 - 3
Finely chopped coriander leaves - 1 tsp
Chopped garlic - 2 - 3
Mustard oil - 1/4 tsp
Salt - to taste
Lemon juice - 1 tsp
METHOD
Take a large bowl add wheat flour,suji,carom seeds,baking powder,turmeric powder,salt and oil and mix well.
Make a stiff dough with the heip of water.
Keep aside for 30 mins.
Take a large bowl add above listed stuffing ingredients and mix well.
Now stuffing is ready.
The texture should be crumbly ,keep aside.
Divide the dough into equal size balls.
Stuff the filling in the dough.
Wrap up the dough pieces and close from all sides.
Heat enough oil in the pan.
Add bati lower the heat and deep fry till light brown.
Pour the bati in the clarified butter / ghee and serve.
