INGREDIENTS
Chicken pieces - 500 gms
Sliced onion - 1
Cardamom - 2
Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
Black pepper - 2 - 3
Cloves - 2 - 3
Cinnamon - 1 inch stick
Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
Kashmiri mirch powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Ginger paste - 1 tsp
Garlic paste - 1 tsp
Salt - to taste
Oil - 4 tbsp
Lemon juice - 2 tbsp
Lemon zest - 1 tsp
Sugar - 1/2 tsp
METHOD
Marinate chicken with lemon juice,lemon zest,red chilly powder,turmeric powder,ginger garlic paste,salt,sugar,kashmiri mirch powder and one tbsp oil for half an hour.
Heat oil in a pan,add cumin seeds,cloves,black pepper,cinnamon to crackle,'
Add sliced onion and saute for one to two mins.
Add marinated chicken pieces and cover it and cook in a low flame until the chicken is soft.
Serve with chapati or naan
