MEWA KHEER BRENCH

Cooking Time  : 30 mins
Serves  : 4

INGREDIENTS
Lotus seeds / makhana   - 1/4 cup
Milk    - 1 ltr
Sugar   - 4 tbsp
Saffron strand -   a pinch
Clarified butter   -  1 tsp
All purpose flour / maida  -  2 tsp
Green cardamom powder   - 1/4 tsp
Dry nuts powder
(Cashew nuts,almonds,walnuts)   - 1/2 cup
Kevra water     - 1 tsp

METHOD
Boil milk in a heavy bottom vessel
Once boiled,keep it in a low flame..
Chop makhana / lotus seeds in a small pieces and add in the milk.
Add sugar and mix well.
Heat clarified butter in another pan.
Add all purpose flour and roast it.
Add roasted all purpose flour in the milk.
Add dry nuts powder and soak the saffron in two tbsp cold milk and add in the kheer.
Add cardamom powder and kevra water and mix well.
