INGREDIENTS
Yellow moong dal/split - 1/2 cup
Finely chopped spinach - 1 cup
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Red chilly powder - 1/4 tsp
Cumin seeds powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt - to taste
Oil - 1 tbsp
For tempering
Clarified butter/ghee - 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Finely chopped garlic - 5 cloves
METHOD
Wash moong dal/split and add in the pressure cooker with three cup of water.
When cooker release the whistle sim the flame for five mins.
Once cooled,mix the dal.
Heat clarified butter in a pan.
Add spinach leaves,turmeric powder,red chilly powder,cumin seeds powder and salt and mix well.
Cook spinach in slow flame for five mins.
Add ready moong dal in the pan and mix well.
Add moong dal in the service bowl and tempered.
Heat clarified butter in a pan.
Add cumin seeds and garlic cloves fry till dark brown.
Tempered the dal,serve hot.
