TOMATO JAM


Prep Time : 15 mins
Cooking Time : 25 mins
Serve : 8

INGREDIENTS
Ripe tomato  -   1 kg
Sugar  -   3/4 kg
Salt  -  a pinch
Lemon juice  -  2 tsp
Cinnamon powder  -  1/2 tsp
Clove powder  -  1/2 tsp

METHOD
Wash the tomato.
Boil water in a pan.
Turn off the flame and add all tomatoes in hot water for 5 - 10 mins
Remove the skin of the tomato and cut into small pieces.
Add in the grinder to make a paste.
Boil the tomato puree for 15 mins in medium flame.
When it thick add sugar,cinnamon and cloves powder and mix well.
Stir occasionaly in a medium flame
When its thick like jam add lemon juice and mix well.
Turn off the flame.
Once cooled keep in the air tight container.
