INGREDIENTS
Chicken - 500 gms
Soaked kaju / cashew nuts - 2 tbsp
Curd - 2 tbsp
Poppy seeds - 2 tbsp
Chopped onion - 2 big size
Ginger garlic paste - 2 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Salt - to taste
Green cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
Black cardamom - 1
Cloves - 3 - 4
Cinnamon - 1 inch stick
Whole black pepper - 3 - 4
Mace - 1 inch stick
Oil - 1/2 cup
METHOD
Wash and marinate chicken pieces with ginger garlic paste,curd,red chilly powder,turmeric powder,coriander powder and salt.
Keep it in the freeze for one hour.
Heat oil in the pan.
Add sliced onion and fry till dark brown and strain it.
Once cooled,add in the blender and blend it to make a paste.
Soak the cashew nuts and poppy seeds in a half cup of water for one to two hours and churn it.
Heat oil in a pan.
Add cloves,whole black pepper,cinnamon stick,black cardamom,gren cardamom and mace to crackle.
Add marinated chicken and cook cover on a low flame for 15 mins.
Add cashew nuts and poppy seeds paste and mix well.
Add fried onion paste and mix well.
Add one cup of water and salt and cook for five mins.
Serve with rice or chapatis.
