CHICKEN BIRYANI




INGREDIENTS
Basmati rice                                -                         1 cup
Water                                         -                         2 cup
Chicken                                      -                         500 gms
Curd                                           -                        2 tbsp
Red chilli powder                        -                        1 tsp
Ginger,garlic paste                      -                         1 tsp
Salt                                            -                        to taste
Sliced onions                              -                        2
Ghee                                          -                        4 tbsp
Garam masala                             -                        1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder                         -                        1 tsp
Coriander powder                        -                         1 tsp

METHOD
Clean and wash the chicken.
Marinate with curd,ginger garlic paste,chilli powder,garam masala,turmeric powder,coriander powder and salt.
Keep in the freeze for two hours
Heat ghee in a wok and fry the sliced onion till brown and crisp.
Add the marinated chicken in a wok on high heat for five mins then low heat.
Cover it till dry.
Switch off the gas.
Clean and wash the rice.
Place in the heavy bottom vessel.
Add water and salt.
Add half done chicken pieces and mix well.
Once boiled,keep it in a low flame and cover it.
After fifteen mins rice is done.
Switch off the gas.
Garnish with fried nuts and serve hot.
