CHICKEN VINDALOO


Prep Time : 15 mins
Cooking Time : 30 mins
Serve : 2

INGREDIENTS
Chicken pieces - 500 gms
Chopped onion - 3
Ginger  - 1 inch stick
Garlic pods - 4 - 5
Vinegar - 2 tbsp
Whole red chilly - 4 - 5
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Cinnamon - 1 inch stick
Green cardamom - 2
Black cardamom - 1
Cloves - 3 - 4
Black pepper - 3 - 4
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Kashmiri red chilly - 1 tsp
Salt - to taste
Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp

METHOD
Soak whole garam masala in vinegar for an hour and now add in the blender with ginger ,garlic,turmeric powder and coriander powder to make a smooth paste.
Wash and marinate chicken pieces with whole garam masala ,ginger garlic paste and salt.
Keep aside for 4 - 5 hours
Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onion and saute until brown and now add chicken pieces and kashmiri mirch powder cover it and cook in a medium flame for ten mins or until oil leaves the pan
Add one cup of water and bring to boil.
Once boiled slow the flame and cook for five mins.
Turn off the flame.
Garnish with  coriander leaves.
Serve with steamed rice
