INGREDIENTS
All purpose flour / maida - 1 cup
Carom seeds - a pinch
Onion seeds - a pinch
Salt - to taste
Clarified butter - 2 tbsp
Oil - for frying
For stuffing
Boiled n mashed bathua leaves - 500 gms
Finely chopped green chilly - 2
Red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida / hing - a pinch
Ginger paste - 1 tsp
Salt - to taste
METHOD
Clean n wash bathua leaves.
Steam in the pressure cooker.
Once cooled strain n mash it.
Add salt,green chilly,red chilly powder asafoetida,ginger paste and mix well.
Now stuffing is ready.
Take a large bowl add all purpose flour,clarified butter,salt,carom seeds and onion seeds and mix well.
With the help of water make a soft dough.
Keep aside for 30 mins.
Divide the dough into equal size balls.
Stuff the filling in the dough and roll into balls.
In a pan heat the oil and add the kachori,lower the heat and fry till light brown.
Serve hot.
