ALMONDS AND POPPY SEEDS PHIRNI

Cooking Time : 25 mins
Serve : 2

INGREDIENTS
Basmati rice - 1/4 cup
Milk - 3 cup
Sugar - 2 tbsp
Poppy seeds - 2 tbsp
Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
Almonds - 3 tbsp


METHOD
Soak almonds in warm water for 30 mins and also soak poppy seeds for 30 mins
Wash and soak basmati rice  for  30 mins and grind coarsely rice ,poppy seeds and 2 tbsp almonds
Heat milk in a heavy bottom vessel,once boiled keep it in slow flame.
Add rice,poppy seeds and almonds paste and stir continuously until thick.
Add sugar and cardamom powder and mix well.
Turn off the flame.
Garnish with  silver coated almonds and poppy seeds
