RAISINS CHUTNEY

Serve :6

INGREDIENTS
Raisins- 250 gms
Sugar - 250 gms
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Cloves - 2 - 3
Whole black pepper - 2 - 3
Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp
Panchphoren - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - a pinch
Red chilly powder - 1/4 tsp
Tamarind - 50 gms
Oil - 2 tbsp

METHOD
Wash and soak tamarind one cup of  warm water,after half hour strain the tamarind and reserve the water
Heat oil in a pan.add, panchphoren to crackle,now add cloves,whole black pepper ans asafoetida
Add raisins and tamarind water  and cook in a lower flame for five mins
Add red chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt and mix well.
Add sugar and cook until thick
Turn off the flame.
