CREAMY BUTTER CHICKEN

Serve : 8

INGREDIENTS
Chicken pieces - 1 kg
Onion paste - 1 cup
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Whole black pepper - 3 - 4
Cinnamon - 1 inch stick
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Cloves - 3 - 4
Nutmeg powder - a pinch
Mace - one piece
Green cardamom - 2
Black cardamom - 1
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
Kashmiri mirch powder - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 2 tbsp
Butter -  100 gms
Oil - 1/2 cup
Milk - 1 cup
Cream - 4 tbsp
Salt - to taste
Sugar - 1tsp
For marination
Ginger paste - 1 tbsp
Garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Whole red chilly paste - 6 - 7
Saffron food color - a pinch
Salt - to taste

METHOD
Marinate chicken with ginger garlic paste,red chilly paste,salt and saffron food color and keep aside for an hour.
Heat butter in a pan and shallow fry the chicken pieces until oil leaves the pan and chicken are soft and strain it
Make the paste of whole garam masala,ginger garlic paste and onion paste
Heat oil and butter in a pan and add onion and whole garam masala paste and saute for 6 n- 7 mins.
Now add coriander powder,red chilly powder,kashmiri mirch powder,turmeric powder and saute unti oil leaves the pan.
Add fried chicken and fresh cream and mix well
Add one cup of milk ,salt and sugar and mix well.
Add one cup of water and bring to boil,once boiled turn off the flame.
Serve with rice or chapatis.
