VADA PAO


Prep Time : 45 mins
Cooking Time : 30 mins
Serve : 2

INGREDIENTS
Pao  - 4
Boiled n mashed potato  - 2
Green chilly - 5
Green garlic leaves  - 2
Black mustard seeds  - 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves  - 8 - 10
Turmeric powder  - 1/4 tsp
Finely chopped coriander leaves  - 1 tsp
Salt - to taste
Oil - 1 tbsp
For batter
Gram flour  - 1/2 cup
Rice flour  - 2 tbsp
Salt - to taste
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Oil - for frying
Green chutney - 1 bowl
Tamarind chutney  - 1 bowl

METHOD
Boil peel and mash the potatoes
Heat oil in a pan and add black mustard seeds to crackle.
Now add curry leaves.
Make a paste of one green chilly and green garlic leaves and add in the pan.
Add turmeric powder and boiled and mashed potatoes and mix well.
Add salt and coriander leaves and cook for two mins.
Divide the potato dough into balls and make small patties of medium thickness
Take a bowl add gram flour,rice flour,turmeric powder,salt and half cup of water.
Make a batter should not be too thick or thin.
Heat oil in a pan.
Deep the potato ball into  the batter and add in the pan.
Deep fry these vada until golden and crispy
Cut the pav into slice.
Spread green chutney and tamarind chutney and place on hot vada into the bread slice
Fry the green chilly and serve with vada pao.
